Business As Usual Bistro Overview and Review

It's business time in the sims 3! Well it has been for a long time and I've had this set for a long time as well. I only chose to do a review now because I finally had the chance to play with this venue properly. Currently ranked as the 8th best selling item on the sims 3 store, this seems to be something sims players wanted.

 The Kitchen:

The Top floor:
 The Dining Area:

The forums and sims related social media begged the store team for content similar to Sims 2 Open For Business and the Business as Usual Bistro seemed to be their reply.

The venue comes with culinary-related items and with premium content, the It's Business Time Industrial Oven.

All you need to do to manage this business is get your sim to go to the lot, click on the It's Business Time Industrial Oven and from there you will have a range of options including selecting the business hours, hiring and firing chefs, choosing the menu and selecting the chef quality (line, sous or executive). Your sim will then be notified of any changes such as chef changes. It's simple really.

If your sim wants to actually own the venue then all you need to do is change the lot type (in edit town mode)  to "hangout" or anything else and your sim will be able to purchase it.

The easier part is simply just sending your sim there to eat. It's a great alternative to the rabbithole diners and bistros. You simply just click on a menu which will already be at a table and order away.

A chef will arrive to take your order (I wish there were waiters though).

A few moments later you will be presented with your food.

And then Bon Appetit !

It's really simple and fun for a while. The actual bistro is just a base. The really fun part is using the content and creating your own restaurants or even using them in your sim's home. The managing of the bistro is not a full sim job and takes very little time. Other than all the things I've mentioned above there's not that much else that can be done with this venue and its content. It's not nearly up to the standard of the Sims 2 Open for Business content but that was expected as this is just store content and not an entire expansion.

The venue is beautifully designed and fits in nearly everywhere. I love any food related content and its for that reason that the Business As Usual Bistro gets a 4/5 RATING.

RATING 4/5
