Homecoming Set Review

The Sims 3 expansions have long since stopped but the store must go on. The first set of 2014 and it's a strictly CAS set in the theme of the American tradition of Homecoming. Homecoming started as a celebration to welcome back the alumni of a school. This usually includes a game of football and a banquet. This set includes attire for both:

My favourite items of the set are the Prep School Uniforms. I loved the school uniforms from Sims 2 and it's great to see them in the game again. All my sim kids will be wearing them from now on! 

All the clothing is incredibly detailed and are, in my opinion, the best formal wear in the sims series ever. It's really great to use for prom, weddings or any celebration really because there's no real homecoming in the game.  

I loved the fact that jewellery was included in the set and these jewellery pieces can be used in everyday wear as well. The set includes a lot of items but they are limited to clothing, shoes and accessories only. For 1900 simpoints (currently 1700 on sale!) I expected there to be a hairstyle or two. I was initially reluctant to get this set because of the theme but it's not only limited to the Homecoming theme and the beautiful dresses can be used over and over again. To my own surprise I loved the football jersey because it just looks very comfortable to wear. 

OVERALL RATING: 3/5 ... The set is beautiful but it felt incomplete. I would have loved a hairstyle or two and also more for the males. This is not one of the most exciting sets because it's limited to CAS but there have been hints on twitter that new premium content is coming soon...
